Bait well

I own a 170CC. I do not fish. I scuba dive. I would like to cut out the bait well but leave the seat to give me new storage room. Will I lose the stability or strengh on the center console.

Thanks

I would leave the baitwell and just use it for storage. You can get a bailer plug that will fit in the drain hole to keep water from coming back up through the drain. You would probably lose any strength and therefore lose the use of the seat. Hope this Helps

Bait Well

Hi Dean,

When not fishing, I use the bait well as storage. The water outlet has a screw plug that I close and the drain has a plug to keep water from backing in. However, the seat is not water proof. Water will get in from splashing around top of the seat.
