Tilt problems
The 115 Yamaha 4 stroke on my Triumph has been having trim problems. When I am riding all of a sudden the motor will start trimming up on it's on. The only way to make it go back down is to use the manual button on the motor, the button on throttle will only hold it in postion when you push the down button but as soon as you let go it starts trimming up. There doesn't seem to be any particular rhyme or reason as to when this occurs. Any ideas?

Hey guys, Chad at Merritt Marine.
Glehave, pretty much hit it on the head. The problem is probably water penetration in the trim switch at the engine. Unplug the trim switch at the engine and see if you still have the problem. |
