Portside Marina in Morehead City and Merritt Marine in Hillsborough, NC have teamed up with Triumph Boats and Triumphowners.net to present the second annual Triumph Boat Owners Mackfest. The Mackfest will feature an offshore and inshore fishing competition for King and Spanish Mackerel. Portside Marina will host the event in Morehead City, North Carolina on July 14-15, 2006. The event begins the morning of Friday July 14th with the debut of the new line of 2007 Triumph Boats! You can check out the new Triumph models and visit with Triumph representatives as well as other vendors and members in attendance. Prizes and freebies will be a part of the day! It is a casual get together so drop by when you can.

The Captain's meeting will take place Friday evening from 7-9PM and includes a free seafood dinner for you and your crew. Fishing can officially begin immediately afterwards and will conclude Saturday afternoon at 2PM. The weigh-in scales close at Portside Marina at 4:30PM and awards will be given out that evening around 6:00PM, concluding the official events and leaving Sunday for family and friends and heading home.

Entry fees - offshore and/or inshore:

Inshore Spanish Mackerel Division - $100 per boat ($125 after July 1st)
Offshore King Mackerel Division - $100 per boat ($125 after July 1st)
Enter both Divisions for $200 per boat ($250 after July 1st)
$50 Calcutta entry per Division (Inshore/Offshore) - ($100 for both)
$25 Tournament within a Tournament
$25 kids entry per boat
$25 Lady Angler entry per boat

Prizes:

1st Place CASH PRIZES - $1750 (based on 100 boat entries per division)
1st-10th Places up to 3 Fish Aggregate
CALCUTTA - Winner take all for largest mackerel in each division
Top Kid Angler (12 & Under)
Top Lady Angler
