Wow that is going to add a lot of weight back there isn't it? That will definitely affect your lifetime hull warranty.

It actually creates much more floatation than it weighs. Think of it as if it was now a 24' boat. An additional 3 feet of hull. The boat will actually float higher than before. And if the boat is swamped, the sealed and foam filled bracket will keep the engine from submerging, allowing continued operation. True on the warranty. I figure if they have a lifetime warranty, then probably won't need it. Either way, I'd just fix anything myself anyway.

Cool. I didn't realize that the new bracket was foam filled. I hope you'll add some more photos when you get her finished. Very interesting!
